Reporting to the VIC Sales Manager you will be required to develop customer partnerships to allow for early engagement in identifying projects, develop profitable tenders and deliver on volume targets.

You understand teamwork is critical to achieving this success. Working in conjunction with the Sales Manager, you will help drive a culture of work smarter not harder, through innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiencies.

The successful candidate will bring a proven background in the Precast Concrete and Building & Construction industries, underpinned by strong technical capability and commercial insight. You will be adept at managing key customer relationships across Victoria’s Tier 1 and Tier 2 accounts and delivering value on large-scale, complex projects.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Maintain key relationships with current customers as well as seeking new customers
  • Create and execute account growth plans
  • Identify new project opportunities and manage the project pipeline 
  • Develop pricing strategy and improve margin management
  • Contribute to the sales forecast using your knowledge of the customer’s business and industry   
  • Create value beyond price by resolving your customers pain points

What you will bring:

  • Previous customer facing experience across Precasters, Tier 1 and Tier 2 civil infrastructure and high rise contractors
  • Current or previous experience in account management and business development 
  • Full Drivers licence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Experience using a CRM and MS suite
  • Experience in engineering construction or construction industry is preferable
  • Strong business acumen and reporting skills
