Customer Service Representative / Storeperson
About The Role
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our Steelforce Express Yatala branch. This is a varied role that combines customer service and warehouse support, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being hands-on when required.
Working closely with customers, operations, and the warehouse team, you will play a key role in ensuring a seamless experience from initial enquiry through to order fulfilment and delivery.
This position will be responsible for a variety of duties including:
- Respond to incoming calls and customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare quotations and manage orders through to accurate picking, packing, and on-time delivery
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide value-based solutions
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Assist with picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
About your experience
We are seeking a team player who thrives in a busy, customer-focused environment and is equally comfortable supporting operational tasks when needed. You’ll be a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and a hands-on attitude, in addition to:
- Experience in customer service, ideally within a trade counter, industrial, manufacturing, or hardware environment
- Strong face-to-face and phone-based customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with regular customers
- Proactive, reliable, and adaptable approach with a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working across both customer service and warehouse duties, including manual handling
- Experience with Microsoft Office; SAP or similar ERP systems is advantageous
- Forklift licence is desirable but not essential
