About The Role
This role is responsible for providing strategic support to build organisational capability and drive operational performance across OneSteel Manufacturing.
You will play a key role in overseeing the development and implementation of training programs, assessment materials, and methodologies that ensure the Production and Maintenance workforce is skilled, competent, and operationally ready. In addition, you will contribute to governance processes that maintain consistency, quality, and compliance across all training initiatives, supporting a safe, capable, and high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation of the training governance framework within the business units to deliver people capability
- Support the business units through the facilitation of training needs analysis and operational process mapping
- Ensure alignment and compliance to relevant operational, safety and legislative requirements
- Provide engagement, operational advice and coaching to relevant stakeholders on licencing, training and assessment standards, development of training plans and execution of training
- Monitor and review training requirements and existing training gaps with Business Leaders
- Management of position, competencies, qualifications and training records with the Learning Management System
- Conduct audits and contribute to workforce development related projects.
- Contribute towards continuous improvement within the Workforce Development function
About You
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated experience in a competency-based training environment
- Experience in mining/ metalliferous processing / manufacturing industries desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet/intranet research
- Proven experience in quality document assurance
- Ability to analyse data and prepare accurate reports
- Ability to influence, engage and lead
