About our team

Liberty Primary Steel has an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-focussed Instrumentation Fitter to join our dynamic team in Whyalla in an engaging, community focussed environment. This position is permanent, full time and involves working day shifts with the potential to do some shift relief work where possible.  

About the Role

Reporting to the Electrical and Instrument Team Leader, you will work as part of a team to achieve targeted levels of plant availability through planned preventive and corrective maintenance in addition to any skilled response to urgent plant issues as required.

 

About your experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 

  • A current Instrumentation Fitter trade
  • At a minimum, a “B” class electrical licence.  A dual trade (electrical/instrumentation) is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong technical and electrical aptitude
  • Experience in fault finding, maintaining equipment and installation.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • To be a self-starter with the drive to complete and go beyond any task you are given
  • To demonstrate a personal commitment to safety in the workplace, complying with all company policies, WH&S rules and regulations and hold safety as a core value.

 

Experience in an industrial environment is preferred.  Any applicants that hold additional qualifications including dual trades (Electrical/Instrumentation), HV switching, PLC I & II and current high risk work licences will be highly regarded.
