Senior Reliability Engineer - Mechanical

About the role

Reporting into the Reliability Engineering Manager, this senior position performs preventative and predictive maintenance to improve the reliability and safety of the Central Engineering manufacturing equipment.


You will provide focused support for reliability engineering and sustainable business improvement in the following ways:
 

  • Defect elimination – facilitate the root cause analysis and corrective action generation to resolve defects and failures
  • Support performance improvement by facilitating the building of systems and methods to gather and analyse equipment and process performance
  • Strategy ownership, development & review – facilitate the development and refining of controls to manage effects of failure modes and life cycle cost management
  • To work as part of the reliability focus team, to act as a service provider and be a partner to the business unit, in particular the Maintenance Engineer
  • A significant focus of this role is facilitating and creating a focus around immediate defect elimination while also applying efforts to the long-term improvement requirements

About your experience

With a relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, preferably with a reliability specialization or proven experience at a senior level in Reliability Engineering, you will be driven towards continuous operational improvement. 


You will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a heavy industry environment preferred
  • Proven capability in reliability engineering analysis and improvement
  • Proficiency in utilising root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Previous involvement and understanding of plant maintenance practices advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail
