Senior Business Analyst

About the role

Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, Mining and Primary Steel, the Senior Business Analyst - Sales and Procurement is responsible for delivering innovative business solutions through design, build and test, including systems integration. They will leverage their subject matter expertise and experience to ensure successful project delivery adoption by the business.


Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Supply Chain Management/Materials Management and Production Planning
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements
  • Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements
  • Map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs
  • Document functional designs, test cases and results of SCM/MM/PP modules
  • Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyse, and solve software problems

About your experience

The Senior Business Analyst will get the chance to participate in new implementations, developed with the latest technology and tools. This role will require far more than just functional experience with SAP Materials Management; you will also need to demonstrate deep consulting skills backed up by practical experience, preferably in a professional consulting organisation. Including the linkage of sales and a marketing system with production planning and scheduling systems, for manufacturing and mining business.


Skills and qualifications required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in information technology or related field or relevant experience
  • SAP experience supporting Supply Chain Management/Materials Management
  • Experience in a full cycle implementation as well as in support projects
  • Experience in PM integration points with other SAP modules like Financial Accounting/Controlling, Production Planning and Plant Maintenance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
