About the role

Reporting to the Lead Maintenance Planning, the Schedule Coordinator will be responsible for developing a complete and accurate schedule for major and minor Pellet Plant Shutdowns to ensure the condition and productive capacity of the plant is maintained. The incumbent acts as the scheduling and execution specialist for all works pertaining to Shutdown strategy and cycles, while also providing some oversight to other major maintenance activities.


Key aspects of the role include:

 

  • Scheduling, resourcing and execution of major and minor Pellet Plant Shutdowns
  • Liaising with Maintenance, Engineering and Processing teams to ensure job scopes are mapped out correctly and with the appropriate level of detail for the schedule
  • Liaising with Pellet Plant Processing team to ensure shutdown activities have the correct sequence for the run down, plant setup, isolation, cleaning, de-isolation, commissioning and run up events/phases of the shutdown – specific to the critical path/scope
  • Assist with the development of scopes of work and planning of shutdown tasks as required
  • Assist with the close out of all shutdown activities and support shutdown review processes ensuring continuous improvement of shutdown planning and execution


You will have a strong focus on safety, environment and value for money achieved for all activities undertaken. You will be the crucial interface between customers, contracting partners, delivering safe, cost-effective, fit for purpose operations. This role is required to provide subject-matter expertise to support the development of detailed schedules for shutdowns, while also challenging contractors and other stakeholders to ensure all shutdowns are run from a single source of the truth.


The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Experience in shutdown / outage planning & execution
  • Strong in use of MS Project and/or Primavera experience
  • Strong in use of Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Experience leading and managing large contractor teams
  • Knowledge and application of Project Management or Shutdown Management methods and systems
  • Skills in time management, troubleshooting and decision making
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Commitment to reach and exceed performance KPIs
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
