Planner Scheduler

About The Role:

This position will provide critical planning support to the Steel Products Planning Leader, coordinating planned maintenance activities across site to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations.

 

You’ll play a key role in preparing, scheduling and coordinating maintenance work, supporting both routine maintenance activities and planned outage events.

 

Working in a fast-paced, heavy industrial environment, you’ll bring together planning, scheduling, procurement, and contractor coordination to deliver well-prepared and executable maintenance plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules using MS Project and Excel
  • Coordinate maintenance planning activities, ensuring work is prioritised, prepared, and ready for execution
  • Support the planning and coordination of planned maintenance outages and shutdown events
  • Facilitate regular planning and scheduling meetings with key stakeholders
  • Plan and schedule proactive, predictive, and preventative maintenance activities
  • Identify and secure required labour, materials, and services for maintenance work
  • Partner with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and contractor support
  • Ensure all work is accurately planned, scheduled, and maintained within SAP
  • Collaborate with planners and stakeholders to develop detailed, executable work packs

About You:

  • Mechanical trade qualification (highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling methodologies
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning, scheduling or supervisory roles within an industrial environment
  • Experience supporting planned maintenance outages or shutdown events (desirable)
  • SAP experience within a maintenance or heavy industry environment
  • Experience coordinating contractors and external resources
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
