Planner Scheduler
About the role
Provide support to the Steel Products Planning Leader in the development and coordination of Shutdown and Planned Maintenace outage schedules, external resources (e.g. contractors), services, materials, workpack development and all other required activities to execute and sucessfully deliver maintenance work during Planned Outages.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain shutdown schedule using both MS Project and Excel. Coordinate all stages of the Shutdown & Outage Management process ensuring each of the stages and milestones are achieved to ensure shutdowns are prepared and executed in a safely and cost-effective manner
- Facilitate weekly shutdown & outage progress meetings leading up to planned events.
Facilitate twice daily schedule updates and process reports throughout the shutdown and once daily during smaller planned outages - Controlling the asset maintenance effort through the management of all proactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance tasks for shutdown related activities. This includes the planning of both proactive and predictive maintenance tasks (identify and secure the required resources, materials, and services) and scheduling (finding an efficient time slot based on a risk-assessed priority) of all mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Work with supply and procurement to ensure delivery of materials in time for Planned events.
- Work with procurement to source and secure required labour, services, and equipment in line with business rules and work management process
- Ensure all activities have resources assigned and scheduled in SAP inline with Work Management process
- Work with Planners, Contractor Controllers, and stakeholders in the creation of executable work packs
Experience, and Qualifications
- Mechanical Trade Qualification preferred
- Sound understanding of maintenance methodologies
- SAP Experience
- Experience Managing Contractors
- Shutdown Scheduling
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning or supervision
