Maintenance Planner
About The Role
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner for our Pellet Plant, reporting to the Lead Maintenance Planning.
The role will focus on planning and scheduling maintenance activities for the Pellet Plant. You will be responsible for taking strategy based and corrective maintenance work from the approved stage right through to the planned, resourced and assigned stage.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance activities by task and priority level for safe, quality, and cost-effective work execution.
- Manage notifications, work orders, time confirmation and documentation for plant asset maintenance using SAP
- Obtain parts quotes, raise requisitions for materials and services required for execution of work
- Organise and monitor parts, materials and external contractor services to ensure availability for the scheduled works.
- Prepare Weekly Maintenance job plans/work packages for routine maintenance tasks.
- Developing shutdown task lists for the Filter Plant – including significant contribution to the shutdown scheduling process
- Work closely with operations and reliability teams to identify and resolve issues impacting plant performance.
- Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders for repairs and services.
- Undertake task supervisor responsibilities.
- Ensuring a high level of communication with the overall Maintenance Team – Planners & Leads – to ensure smooth interaction of maintenance activities.
About your experience
The ideal candidate will have a trade or engineering qualification, you will also have:
- Previous experience in a maintenance role with trade qualifications preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of plant equipment.
- Proven ability to supervise contractor tasks in a maintenance environment.
- Experience using SAP and Microsoft Project
- Solid understanding of WH&S regulations and the ability to minimise equipment downtime.
- High level of organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety and teamwork
