Induration Maintenance Leader
About the role
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Induration Maintenance Leader to join our Pellet Plant team. The position will report to the Superintendent Maintenance.
The primary purpose of this role to ensure that the planned maintenance and repairs that support the asset maintenance strategy and long-term asset plan are executed safely, effectively, and efficiently within the Induration area.
Your responsibilities will cover:
- Manage the activities in their area in a manner that minimises risk to employees, contractors, and environment by active safety leadership.
- Ensuring all maintenance and repair activities are safely managed and completed on time and within the approved budget and that the plant is commissioned and returned to service at the agreed functional standard requirements while keeping all appropriate stakeholders informed on progress for the duration of the work
- Participate in Work Management process and maintain integrity through planning process such that execution is delivered efficiently and effectively
- Drive collaboration with the Processing team to ensure work is aligned with plant requirements and that preparation and execution matches the plan
- Engage own team into the Work Management Process
- Actively participate and support the Pellet Plant improvement processes to minimize variation, reduce losses, and improve availability by success in the following key activities:
- Contribute towards relevant business approved improvement initiatives
- Participate in equipment failures investigations
- Ensure the SAP reflects any changes made to the asset including but not limited to BOM’s, Drawings, stock items etc
The successful candidate will have:
- Appropriate Mechanical trade or Mechanical tertiary qualifications
- Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of maintenance planning, supervision and maintenance leadership in a mining, process plant or heavy manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated working knowledge of SAP or similar Computer Maintenance Management System
- A minimum of three-years’ experience in a front-line leadership or supervisory role
- Current Drivers licence - essential
- Proven ability to work autonomously to achieve work objectives
- Outcome orientated
- Troubleshoots daily plant and equipment issues through application of trades skills and fault-finding techniques
- Proactively participates in Continuous Improvement Processes
- Collaboration with subject matter experts for support
