Key Responsibilites:

Step into a dynamic, hands-on role as part of a high-performing team driving Australia’s steel manufacturing industry forward. Working on 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations running safely, smoothly, and efficiently.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Execute planned maintenance, fabrication and inspection tasks
  • Ensure reliability of plant and equipment
  • Support shut down maintenance works
  • Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
  • Technical support to production, maintenance management and broader reliability teams
  • Improving the reliability of the assets by proactively supporting CI initiatives and activities
  • Accurate record keeping of scheduled and breakdown maintenance within CMMS (SAP)

 

Domestic Relocation included for those residing outside of Whyalla, which includes: 

  • Uplift of goods and relocation allowance (for individuals and immediate family)
  • Travel and temporary accommodation (up to 4 weeks) 
  • DIDO Option Available (for Port Augusta, Quorn or Cowell residents)

About You:

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker) or equivalent Trade
  • Boilermaking experience in heavy manufacturing, mining or foundry is ideal
  • Ability to fabricate, weld and read/interpret engineering drawings is essential
  • SAP or similar experience would be beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • A strong commitment to safety and following procedures
  • Ability to undertake a pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol assessment
