Electrical Supervisor

About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Electrical Maintenance Lead to join our Pellet Plant team. The position will report to the Superintendent Maintenance. The primary purpose of this role to ensure that the planned maintenance and repairs that support the asset maintenance strategy and long-term asset plan are executed safely, effectively, and efficiently within the Pellet Plant.


Key aspects of the role include:

 

  • Leading a team of electrical trades people in the safe, effective and efficient execution of maintenance strategy and repair work
  • Effective use of SAP to co-ordinate all maintenance activities relating to the Pellet Plant, as well as the scoping and prioritization of these activities
  • Directing the execution of any planned and/or unplanned maintenance work 
  • Significant input to the scoping, planning and execution of plant shutdowns – covering maintenance and improvement work
  • Ensuring a high level of communication with the overall Maintenance Team – Planners and other Leads – to ensure smooth interaction of daily activities and efficient allocation of resources
  • Technical input to key electrical and control systems across Pellet Plant area, including fault finding and repairs.


You ideally have proven experience in a leadership role working on maintenance of fixed processed plant. You are a quick problem solver who can logically work through plant problems under pressure and provide timely and cost-effective solutions.


The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Electrical trade or Engineering qualification
  • Strong safety and customer focus with good communication skills
  • Practical leadership capability with experience in minerals processing
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Experience using computer maintenance management systems (preferably SAP)
  • Passion to challenge the status quo, identify opportunities for improvement and focus on results.
