About the role

We’re looking for someone with a strong mechanical background to step into a Maintenance Lead role at our Iron Baron site. If you’ve got hands-on experience in fixed plant maintenance and know your way around heavy machinery, this could be a great fit.

As Maintenance Lead, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all planned maintenance and repairs in the Fixed Plant Crusher are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with our asset maintenance strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Lead Safely – Actively promote and uphold safety standards, managing maintenance activities in a way that minimises risk to employees, contractors, and the environment.

•    Execute Maintenance Plans – Oversee the safe and timely completion of maintenance and repairs, ensuring the plant is returned to service in accordance with functional standards and within approved budgets.

•    Support Work Management – Participate in and support the Work Management process, maintaining a clear and efficient planning-to-execution workflow.

•    Coordinate with Operations – Work closely with the Operations teams to align maintenance efforts with operational needs, ensuring preparation and execution stay on track.

•    Engage and Develop Your Team – Involve your team in planning and execution, fostering accountability and clear communication.

•    Drive Operational Improvements – Take part in continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to investigations into equipment failures, and support efforts to improve plant availability and performance.

Experience & Essential skills:

•    Mechanical trade or engineering qualifications

•    Solid experience in fixed plant maintenance

•    Strong leadership and communication skills

•    Sound knowledge of maintenance planning processes and systems, preferably SAP

•    A proactive, safety-first mindset

This is more than just a maintenance role—you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of the Fixed Plant Crusher area, contribute to improvement initiatives, and work alongside a skilled team. If you’re ready to step into a leadership role where your input is valued and your impact is visible, we’d love to hear from you.
