Boilermaker

About the role

Reporting to the Leading Hand, you will be working in a team of 7, with members of various trade backgrounds. Within Ironmaking there are currently positions available in the Power and Services maintenance teams.
Some of your key responsibilities will include;

  • Ensure all safety inductions have been completed prior to undertaking any tasks
  • Repair or replace parts such as valves, joints or pipes using the appropriate tools or welding equipment
  • Assist with planned shutdowns and support the team
  • Complete all work according to the required safety standards and to a high quality
  • General equipment maintenance

With the team's growth projection, the current team roster is based on a 7.6hr day shift with the view to be 12hr (7 am - 7 pm) in the future.

About your experience

To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following;

  • Boilermaker trade qualified
  • Ticketed welder (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous experience working on a plant or in the heavy industry space such as mining
  • Familiar with MS Suite and SAP systems or similar system
  • Great communication/people skills
  • Proactive, have a strong work ethic and able to add value in a team
  • Ability to work well in a team.
