Senior Project Manager
About the role
Based at St Mary's, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for influencing InfraBuild Reinforcing’s project delivery performance, along with business metrics including production forecasting, labour demand and project profitability for commercial, residential high rise and major infrastructure projects with respect to the supply of reinforcing steel, and associated products and services in NSW and ACT.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage entire Project phase from mobilisation through to delivery
- Part of an exciting team of 4 x Project Managers and Project Engineer
- Oversee project P&L’s, budgets, programs, work breakdown structure, and construction histograms
- Manage reinforcement delivery program and internal support interfaces
- Implement a project governance plan, including monthly implementation reviews to ensure obligations of InfraBuild Reinforcing and customers are met
- Develop strong customer relationships/liaise on day to day project management issues and negotiate project critical matters
- Early identification of risks and revenue opportunities, and continuous improvement projects
- Ensure all claims and disputes are resolved via the Project Management team
- Work within WHS policies and procedures, along with workplace and Australian standards
About your experience
You will be passionate and enthusiastic about the engineering construction industry and InfraBuilds’s value proposition. Your previous leadership experience in the construction industry and understanding of the major infrastructure project lifecycle is paramount to your success in this role.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Leadership experience and the ability to influence and motivate others through your expertise and action
- At least 5 years Project Management experience or similar background within the commercial/civil construction/steel industry
- Demonstrate contract management experience
- Strong commercial and financial acumen and experience forecasting and controlling project budgets and P&L’s
- Advanced knowledge of reinforcement drawings and the ability to interpret drawings.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Standards and key construction system techniques
- Strong critical thinking and decision making skills
- Ability to work on multi-disciplinary projects
