Technical Engineering Manager
About the role
An exciting opportunity now exists to join a team with responsibility for Innovation, development of new sustainability focused products, processes and service offerings for the construction industry that deliver long-term profitability across all business units leveraging deep industry knowledge and insight. The role requires a candidate that has initiative and an innovative problem-solving approach, communicating a vision and inspiring others to achieve their potential.
The candidate can be based out of Sydney or Melbourne or Brisbane.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drive engineering activities to support market insight driven design direction and provide technical guidance to assist and steer development
- Technical development of new products, solutions and training packages for the market
- Production of technical documents and influencing revisions to Australian Standards
- Work across InfraBuild business units and functional teams to assist in the development and delivery of projects that achieve sustainable outcomes
- Partner with industry and academia to research and develop complimentary construction solutions
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team with the following attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil and or Structural)
- Highly experienced in the construction sector
- Be a strategic thinker with a desire for innovation to identify opportunities and develop project proposals that will deliver long term value to the business
- Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
- A high level of computer proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
