Reporting to the Applications Team Lead and based at our Sydney site, you will play a key role in supporting the operational success of the InfraBuild Steel Manufacturing departments by supporting existing and delivering enhanced IT capabilities. This role involves the ongoing maintenance and support of a modern Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and associated systems.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the successful delivery of projects through design, development, configuration, testing, training, data cleansing, cutover tasks and hyper-care support
  • Delivering ongoing application enhancements and upgrades to support various IT/business priorities
  • Playing a key role throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support as per the agreed roster
  • Collaborate with end-users/business SME’s throughout the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and ongoing application management
  • Collaborate with vendor & integration partners on support and development requirements
  • Work within a cross-functional IT team to deliver business requirements on time and within budget

What you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualified in IT, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar disciplines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid business communication skills (both written and verbal) required
  • Understanding of Manufacturing processes and technologies highly regarded
  • Experience with the design, development and programming of Java-based software, PL/SQL databases and client-servers highly regarded
  • Experience working within structured IS methodologies or has exposure to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP & Industrial Automation systems is preferred
  • Valid Driver's Licence and reliable Vehicle is essential
