IT Project Manager
About the role
Reporting to the IT Project Management Office Manager you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of IT Infrastructure and applications projects, on time, within budget and to a high quality whilst ensuring all business processes, health and safety targets are met. IT Project Managers ensures that business cases and project charters are appropriately documented and meet project standards and practices within PMI.
To be successful in this role you will have strong communication skills, drive operational excellence and improvements to InfraBuild IT Infrastructure Projects overall performance, compliance with various regulations. In addition to that, you are self-sufficient, forward thinking, and able to deal with risk and issues creatively and independently. You also know how to handle ambiguity in projects and processes.
Some business travel may be required to Infrabuild sites as part of the projects.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships along with experience in managing multimillion dollar infrastructure and application projects within IT Portfolios or PMO. You will understand the importance of continuous improvement, supporting transitional projects and work cultures for the future as we continue to focus heavily on carbon reduction and sustainability. Positive in nature, as well as the drive and tenacity to be a strong advocate to making things happen. You will think outside the box when phased with issues and know how to navigate the project world and provide solutions independently. You are used to ambiguity and can come up with a plan where there is an existing one. You have managed high executive visibility projects and you can simply and easily communicate and present at that level. Your PM skills are matured and diverse and pick up concepts and new projects quickly.
Skills and qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Management Information systems and/or Project Management
- Certification in Project Management: Prince 2 (practitioner), PMP, Agile
- Experience in SAP projects a plus
- Proven experience in project planning and governance
- Contract management experience
- Sound understanding of business evaluation cases
- Demonstrated ability to work at multiple levels across various functions
- Demonstrated experience in managing project business risks
- Demonstrated experience of understanding and managing significant budgets
- Strong leadership skills / proven leadership skills and abilities
- Strong personal commitment to build and maintain the highest standards of safety practice through own actions and leading others
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence teams to follow directives established by IT governance
- Independent thinker and self-starter
