IT Business Partner
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, you will be responsible for establishing forward development directions and solutions that align to IT strategy while managing evolving business requirements. The Business Partner will provide guidance to the business unit to focus attention on strategic solutions and IT applications that support business requirements and can realise tangible financial benefit.
In fostering relationships with senior divisional personnel, the Business Partner will ensure demand for IT services is validated and channelled appropriately to IT with consideration given to integration and enhancement. They will provide ongoing communication to the business throughout the program or project lifecycle, managing business concerns and addressing business needs while managing evolving business requirements.
The key aspects of the role are to:
- Develop Solutions and propose Roadmaps over the long term (3-5 years) that align to IT Strategic Plans
- Translate Business Strategy and align to IT roadmap
- Provide IT Demand Management
- Support the Operations and represent IT within Acquisition management processes
You are an experienced Business Partner with a proven track record in managing complex Customer relationships with a technology focus. You will also understand the importance of continuous improvement, supporting transitional projects and work cultures for the future as we continue to focus heavily on carbon reduction and sustainability. Energised and positive in nature, as well as the drive and tenacity to be a strong advocate to making things happen.
Skills and qualifications required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification. Preferably diploma or degree qualified in a business related or IT discipline or equivalent experience
- Understanding of project management methodologies
- Certified Certification (Foundation) in ITIL
- Knowledge of emerging technology trends, IT functions, and relevant business solutions applications
- In-depth knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Demonstrates an ability to develop roadmaps and to translate business strategy into program plans and align to the IT strategy and roadmaps
- Demonstrates a strong ability to develop partnerships with key stakeholders, including recognition of business concerns
- Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives
- Understanding of project and demand management methodologies
- Strong Service Management experience (preferably in a managed service environment)
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence teams to follow directives established by IT governance
