Head of Property

About the role

We are seeking a talented Head of Property with strong exposure in the industrial sector to lead a small team in managing our broad property portfolio Australia wide across InfraBuild & LPMA (owned, leased or subleased).

 

This is a multi-faceted role and will see you contributing to strategic discussions, taking a leading hand in property-related strategic and operational aspects, identifying and then unlocking opportunities across our portfolio.

 

*This is a hands-on role and will see the successful incumbent creating a presence across the properties, including monthly travel as required, with the opportunity for 1 day WFH.

 

Your responsibilities will include;
 

  • Negotiating and managing commercial lease outcomes ensuring they meet and/ or exceed target benchmarks

  • Managing the portfolio cost base and working closely with internal stakeholders to provide timely reporting, accurate forecasting and identify opportunities.

  • Identifying strategic opportunities within Property portfolio to enahance / unlock value and leading the project(s) right from seeking approval to execution within timelines and approved outcomes

  • Conducting property acquisitions and portfolio assessments with a view to consolidate or promote efficiencies across multiple sites in varying geographies

  • Directing and implementing lease compliant Facilities Management across the portfolio in partnership with Procurement function and the associated business streams

  • Managing Build-to-suit developments and major facility alterations to scope, cost and stakeholder expectations

  • Developing positive relationships with commercial partners, landlords, tenants and other parties involved in Property operations

 

The successful candidate will ideally have;
 

  • Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience working in Property or Asset Management, focused on industrial or commercial properties with demonstrated exposure to development / redevelopment

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications Property Management, Business, Engineering, or Construction Management would be considered favourably

  • Proven ability to manage a large portfolio of properties in line with that of InfraBuild and LPMA.

  • Strong understanding of building codes, commercial and real estate law and ability to plan and oversee all aspects incorporated in a project

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, delivering effective communication at all levels from Branch Managers to EGMs

  • The ability to focus on the detail or step back to assess opportunity from a strategic point of view to provide innovative solutions to complex problems
