We would like to invite recent or soon-to-be graduates to take part in our 2027 Graduate Program within the Finance and Trade discipline based the Sydney Head Office in the CBD. 
  
Real Work with Real Outcomes – Starting in January 2027, our program offers a two-year fixed-term contract with the potential for permanent placement. This immersive, hands-on program provides practical learning through hands-on experience and meaningful work.  
  • Participants will complete two 12-month rotational placements, gaining a comprehensive technical and commercial skills training blend. 
  • The program includes continuous coaching, mentorship, and formal training, allowing participants to rotate through diverse business units. 
  • This structure ensures a thorough understanding of operations and strategic initiatives, combining on-the-job learning with formal education. 
 

Key Areas of Exposure

  • Exposure to WTO frameworks, anti‑dumping laws, and trade remedies processes. 
  • Supporting the preparation of evidence‑based submissions to government and regulatory authorities. 
  • Applying accounting and financial data to regulatory, economic, and policy contexts rather than corporate reporting. 
  • Collecting, analysing, and validating commercial and financial data for formal regulatory decision‑making. 
  • Working at the intersection of finance, international trade, and public policy. 
  • Collaborating with trade specialists, government affairs, and innovation teams. 
  • Gaining insight into how commercial data informs government decision‑making and trade policy outcomes.

Eligibility Criteria: 
  • A genuine passion for finance, accounting and trade within the operational context of steel manufacturing and distribution. 
  • Australian/NZ citizenship or a visa granting unlimited working rights. 
  • Completion of an Australian tertiary degree within the past three years (or set to conclude in 2026).  
  • Less than two years of full-time, discipline-specific work experience. 
 
 Note: Successful placement into this program will be subject to pre-employment checks, including but not limited to criminal, qualification, medical, and reference checks.
