Supply Chain Manager
About the role
Report to the Manager Supply Chain, the National Demand Planning Manager is responsible for the creation, review, signoff and continuous improvement of the Infrabuild Reinforcing (IBR) and Australian Reinforcing Company (ARC) sales forecast and its accompanying context (assumptions, risks, opportunities and metrics). It is the one unique role pulling together multiple sources of data (quantitative and qualitative) across the business to create and facilitate signoff of expected sales.
This role adds value by working with sales, commercial and the IBR and ARC lead teams to develop an accurate estimate of future sales. This estimate directly drives supply and purchase planning and execution decisions and has a material impact on customer service, cash and cost outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure SIC supply chain and Advanced Planning Operations (APO) Master Data driving planning and reporting is appropriately maintained to support transactional, planning and reporting processes
- Maintain and execute the appropriate statistical sales forecasting functionality
- Seek continuous improvement in application of available APO DP functionality to optimize forecast accuracy
- Work with other SAP APO users and experts across the business to share knowledge
- Create statistical sales forecasts in the SAP APO tool, ensuring modelling is representative of historical data
- Recommend adjustments to improve forecast accuracy and/or improve accompanying context
- Ensure provision of material, including data and assumptions to facilitate the monthly National Demand Review Meetings to achieve consensus and signoff of the IBR and ARC Regional Sales Forecasts (including accompanying context)
- Coach and support the Regional Sales and Commercial teams to increase their knowledge and expertise in sales forecasting
- Ensure the signed off SIC sales forecast (including accompanying context) is correctly fed into the SIC supply planning and execution processes
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence key stakeholders to drive alignment and implement sustainable, efficient demand planning processes.
Skills and qualifications required:
- Tertiary qualifications in either Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or Science
- Demonstrated experience leading the Demand Planning function within a complex distribution and manufacturing organisation
- Understanding and demonstrated ability to define and implement improvement initiatives across planning processes
- Experience working across complex business structures without direct line authority to deliver required business change
- Advanced skills and knowledge using SAP or Advanced Planning Systems and statistical forecasting techniques and systems
- Competent with techniques for change management and negotiation
