Infrabuild Mesh are looking for a motivated and detail-driven Production Planner to join our tight-knit and experienced planning team at Sunshine.
With strong team retention, deep industry expertise, and a collaborative work culture, you’ll be well-supported from day one. This role is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of daily production activities while meeting customer needs and maintaining operational efficiency.
As the central link between sales, scheduling, operations, customer service, despatch, and supply, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring everything runs to plan. You’ll manage production schedules, communicate updates, resolve issues, and help deliver the right product, at the right time, every time. It’s a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your ability to stay ahead of the curve will make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to balance customer service, efficiency, and inventory targets
- Manage raw material supply, trading inventory, and coordinate with suppliers to meet forecast demand
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and customer service teams to optimise production outcomes and resolve constraints
- Track schedule adherence, identify risks to customer service, and drive corrective actions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes, systems, and inventory accuracy
We're looking for someone with:
- Experience in a planning or scheduling role, with a manufacturing / production environment preferred
- Resilient and adaptable, with a proactive approach to managing change and resolving challenges
- Confident communicator who can build relationships across teams and engage effectively across a range of stakeholders
- Proficient in using planning or scheduling systems (experience in SAP IBP/APO/PPDS highly regarded)
- Experience in steel, construction, or supply chain industries will be highly regarded, but not essential
- A qualification in Data Science, Engineering or similar STEM (preferred)
- APICS CSCP / CPIM certifications and/or Six Sigma qualifications will be highly regarded
