Operations Supervisor

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for leading a motivated team, driving safe and efficient production, and implementing smart, innovative processes that shape the way we work.

 

Working collaboratively with the Afternoon Shift Operations Supervisor you will ensure seamless continuity, standardise work practices, and align performance outcomes across both shifts. This is a genuine opportunity to position yourself as the next Operations Manager by demonstrating strong leadership, operational excellence, and cultural impact.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and inspire the day shift team to achieve and exceed safety, quality, and production KPIs
  • Drive a positive, continuous improvement and safety focused culture
  • Standardise work practices to improve consistency, efficiency, and reliability
  • Partner closely with the Afternoon Shift Operations Supervisor to ensure alignment, communication, and operational continuity
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, automation projects, and creative problem solving approaches
  • Oversee workforce planning, training, and competency development
  • Manage costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and logistics teams to optimise overall site performance

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • A highly driven leader who is focused on achieving KPIs and delivering results
  • Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, food, automotive, or industrial environments
  • A strong track record in coaching, change management, and driving measurable performance improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to build a positive, safety focused and continuous improvement culture
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the business
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Creative, solutions focused mindset who challenges the status quo
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and production data systems
  • Experience in the steel reinforcing industry is desirable but not essential
