Dispatch Supervisor

Join a thriving production network as the leader of the site despatch team based out of our Sunshine site. You will lead the daily site transport operations, coordinating and monitoring transport fleet activities. You will be a critical function for our customers, production and project staff, where you will not only lead the team but immerse yourself in the whole business function. This role is responsible for ensuring our dispatch function is running smoothly and consistently.
What you will be doing:
- Provide subject matter expert advice on transport functions, i.e. pricing, capability of fleet etc
- Follow chain of responsibility as per the heavy vehicle national law
- Lead and motivate the despatch team through expertise and action
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Build and maintain excellent customer relationships
- Liaise with customers, the planning team and project management team with notification of changes to the delivery plan, concerns on site and proof of delivery requests
- Performing load checks and auditing of loads and load restraint
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety policies, standards, procedures and legislative requirements
Hours for this role are 5am – 1pm, Monday to Friday.

What you will bring:
- A qualification in logistics, advantageous
- Proven leadership experience in despatch, distribution or logistics
- Experience and/or knowledge of the transport/ heavy vehicle industry and understand load compliance, restraint and chain of responsibility
- A safety focused mindset driving adherence to all policies, standards, procedures and legislative requirements
- Excellent customer service and relationship management with a high level of negotiation skills
- Process orientated and a high level of resilience
- Computer literate and have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, JDE/SAP, Next-Gen, desirable
