About the role

You will be part of a large steelmaking team at the Meltshop in the Rooty Hill Steel Mill, reporting to the Shift Leader. The roster is 12-hour shifts and it's a 24/7 plant: rotating between day and night shifts.

 

  • We will provide training for each area of the Meltshop and PPE
  • Opportunity to learn a variety of skillsets within the Meltshop
  • The role includes a balance of technical & manual handling tasks

 

It is important that you are committed to learning the steel industry and joining a global business where you will gain exposure to safety and steel making best practice. You will have stability and long-term career development.

You have:
 

  • Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Experience in operating heavy machinery and/or working in industrial environments (ideal)
  • Solid computer skills (essential)
  • Proven experience collaborating and working in a team environment
