Maintenance Planner and Scheduler Bar Mill

About the role

You will schedule all preventative and corrective maintenance work for the Rolling Mill, collaborating with the Maintenance Leaders to ensure that all work is completed to priority and on time to meet objectives. You will also be responsible for the overall management of the annual shut.

Key duties;

  • Chair scheduling meetings to coordinate input from stakeholders to capture all planned work in the CMMS- SAP system, for weekly work, fortnightly down days and annual shutdowns.

  • Compile and distribute schedules that include all work and resource requirements.

  • Review work status and update schedules in SAP.

  • Engage contractor labour, special tools and equipment.

  • Ensure that contractors are inducted, trained and comply with all safety standards

  • Update weekly and monthly reports for maintenance team.

  • Manage the planning, scheduling and execution of the annual extended shut down.

About your experience

You are a strong influencer with attention to detail, with experience in Maintenance scheduling or ready to take a step to specialise in scheduling.

  • Mechanical qualification

  • Experience in Manufacturing, heavy or mining industry

  • Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP and CMMS planning systems, computer literate

  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, MS Project, etc.
