About the role

Join our team as a Mechanical Tradesperson based out of the Sydney Steel Mill, working on a wide variety of tasks. Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring availability and reliability for operations. 

This role will offer permanent and stable employment on a rotating 12 hour, 4 on 4 off Lifestyle Shift Roster.
Duties include;

•    Execution of preventative and predictive maintenance as well as attending to breakdowns if the need arises.
•    Identifying opportunities for improvement
•    Perform trouble shooting and fault-finding tasks 
•    Providing feedback via the maintenance management system
•    Participation in regular shutdown tasks as an individual or working with other members of the team
•    Liaison with the other trades in the workshop
•    Completion all tasks safely and to a high quality.

About your experience

To be successful in this role, you will;

•    Hold relevant mechanical trade qualification
•    Crane experience is highly desirable
•    Possess exceptional fault finding and troubleshooting skills
•    Have a proactive approach, whilst holding safety and customer as core values
•    Confident communicator who can work unsupervised
•    Previous experience with shutdown activity
•    Self-starter who is focused on outcomes and keen to contribute to the business as a whole
•    Experience in Hydraulics and Pneumatics
•    Heavy Industrial experience.
