Infrabuild Manufacturing is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Electrician to join our dynamic team at the Rooty Hill Steel Mill. You’ll be part of a skilled and supportive industrial maintenance crew, working in a fast-paced yet community-focused manufacturing environment.


Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant through both planned maintenance and breakdown support. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in exciting project work, helping to optimise and improve our processes.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working 4 x 10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday: Tuesday to Friday with the potential to move into a rotating shift role in the future.

 

All tools are provided, and you’ll receive regular training and ongoing development opportunities.


What you will be doing:

  • Performing maintenance, operational checks, and routine inspections on plant equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to minimise downtime
  • Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment and projects
  • Monitoring plant performance with a focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency
  • Collaborating with the wider maintenance and production teams to improve processes

What you will bring:

  • A current NSW Electrical Trade qualification or 4th year apprentices nearing completion of their trade are encouraged to apply.
  • Proven experience in breakdown fault finding, repair, and maintenance — ideally within a manufacturing or heavy industry environment
  • Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
  • Solid computer literacy and comfort with modern maintenance systems
  • A commitment to learning, improving, and contributing to a culture where safety comes first


Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:

  • PLC control systems and industrial automation
  • AC and DC variable speed drives
  • HMI and SCADA systems
  • SAP or similar maintenance management systems
