Electrical Tradesperson (PRB11)
About the role
InfraBuild Steel is seeking a reliable, safety-driven Electrical Coordinator to join the dynamic and experienced Meltshop team at our Rooty Hill site.
Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, you’ll be the first point of contact for technical support, assisting with equipment investigations and supporting both the maintenance and operations teams. You’ll play a key role in coordinating and allocating maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient completion of both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities and allocate tasks to the trades team
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and promote a safety-first culture
- Liaise with external contractors and service providers for repairs and installations
- Organise workshop repairs and manage stock updates
- Assist with fault finding, troubleshooting, and breakdown repairs
- Scope and support project work, including new equipment installations
- Monitor plant operations for ongoing performance optimisation
- Flexible to work shift coverage and respond to after-hours callouts when needed
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a team environment, communicates effectively, and can confidently lead daily operations while supporting both day-to-day maintenance and long-term plant improvements.
You will also have:
- Current NSW Electrical Trade Supervisor license is required
- Demonstrated leadership experience and a strong commitment to safety
- Adaptable with exceptional fault finding and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with PLCs (Allen Bradley & Rockwell), instrumentation, and SCADA/HMI systems
- Experience using SAP or similar CMMS systems
- Electrical experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment
- Ability to interoperate electrical schematics drawings
- Self-drive and the ability to work autonomously as well as in a Team environment
- Excellent communication skills and computer aptitude
- Ability to apply sound judgement and manage competing deadlines
- EWP, Confined Space and other safety training will be highly regarded
