Electrical Supervisor - Rooty Hill
About the role
As the Electrical Leader with InfraBuild Manufacturing, you’ll take ownership of the electrical maintenance function across the Rolling Mill at Rooty Hill, leading a team of up to 12 and acting as the subject matter expert for all electrical equipment and process functionality. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance people management, technical expertise, and strategic improvement to drive plant reliability and performance.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing maintenance culture—embedding safe work practices, improving asset availability, and contributing to key business outcomes such as reliability, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, coach and develop the electrical maintenance team, including training, performance, and payroll oversight
- Drive a strong safety culture aligned with a Zero Incident, Zero Injury mindset
- Provide technical leadership in fault finding and complex problem solving to minimise downtime
- Partner with Leading Hands to plan, schedule and deliver maintenance work effectively
- Analyse breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions
- Champion preventative and predictive maintenance practices to improve plant reliability and OEE
- Contribute to maintenance budgeting and cost control to meet business targets
- Ensure all work is planned, compliant, and executed to required safety and quality standards
- Build team capability through mentoring and continuous skills development

To be successful, you will have:
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, managing and developing teams
- A strong background in hands-on industrial electrical maintenance
- Relevant electrical trade or engineering qualifications (essential)
- Electrical Supervisor/Leader licence or ticket (highly regarded)
- Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, or similar environments (desirable)
- Demonstrated ability in fault finding, root cause analysis, and problem solving
- Experience with PLCs, AC/DC drives, and modern maintenance practices and systems (e.g. RCM, SAP)
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive approach with a focus on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement
- Willingness to support after-hours requirements when needed
