Condition Monitoring Engineer
About the role
Rooty Hill is looking for a Condition Monitoring Engineer to join the team on a full time basis in the Rolling Mill.
The Condition Monitoring Engineer is a key member of the Sydney Steel Mill Maintenance Reliability team. This role is critical in maintaining and improving plant reliability and will focus on condition monitoring of equipment across the plant using tools such as Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis and Thermography. This role will pay a key role in developing Asset Strategy by providing input relating to Asset health. The role will also come with the opportunity to grow into a frontline supervisory role.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and promoting a strong safety focus
- Manage, implement, and improve vibration, lubrication and thermography based predictive maintenance programs, including maintenance of condition monitoring tools and systems
- Plan and execute CM data collection and analysis as per schedule
- Record CM findings and report on defects found in a timely manner using reporting system
- Recommend actions based on interpretation of condition monitoring data using CMMS i.e. SAP
- Build relationships and provide technical support to the maintenance and operations teams
- Maintain and update asset condition status and report – “Heat / Rash map”
About your experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Engineering qualification
- Previous experience in Condition Monitoring and lubrication
- ISO Vibration Analysis Category 1 (VCAT1) or higher-level certification or working towards obtaining the qualification
- CMMS experience SAP or equivalent
- Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Hazard Analysis and Take 5's etc
