Maintenance Planner

About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for planning all Port Adelaide recycling plant and equipment works.  This includes preventative maintenance, breakdowns, planning and owning shutdowns and the accurate monitoring and ordering of parts and consumables.


Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Monitor and enforce conformance to safety standards and behaviours
  • Assisting in the development and review of site procedures 
  • Ensure that parts and consumables are ordered promptly as required
  • Establish and monitor spare parts to ensure supply
  • Creating maintenance orders in SAP for all SA state
  • Planning and allocating all PM tasks for all SA state
  • Plan and organise maintenance activities as required
  • Verifying the completion of scheduled tasks for all SA state
  • Arrange work permits for maintenance activities and contractors


We are seeking a safety focused individual with strong influencing and communication skills who can effectively build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be the first point of contact for all contractors visiting the site.


To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • Previous experience in a similar role within manufacturing or another heavy industry
  • Mechanical knowledge 
  • Sound working knowledge of SAP
  • Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • Problem solving skills and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Proactive in taking ownership of the issues and urgent situations
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a busy environment
