Maintenance Boilermaker

We are currently seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and experienced Boilermaker Tradesperson to join our maintenance team. You will be joining a close-knit and supportive team where you will get exposure to multiple parts of the business and no two days are the same.
Hours for this role are afternoon shift – 5pm – 1am – Monday to Friday plus some overtime on Sunday’s as required.
Pay rate: $54.09 per hour between the hours of 5pm and 12am, any hours worked between 12am and 2am will be paid at $70.56 per hour.
What you will be doing:
- Daily planning of service events (Mechanical, Fabrication)
- Complete and report daily pre-operational checks
- Keeping accurate records of completed work
- Compliance with quality and safety processes
- Assisting with breakdown work as required
- General preventative maintenance and fabrication
- Participate in safety inspections and assist in improvement of safety processes and initiatives
- Report hazards and incidents in a timely manner
- Coaching and mentoring apprentices
- Carry out maintenance tasks in accordance with systems and processes to achieve operational performance targets and KPI’s

What you will bring:
- Trade qualified - Welder / Boilermaker or Certificate III in heavy fabrication
- Light to heavy fabrication skills
- Ability to interpret and read engineering drawings
- High risk forklift licence
- Ability to weld with the following
- MMA – Manual Metal Arc Welding
- GMAW – Gas Metal Arc Welding
- FCAW – Flux Core Arc Welding
- Air Arc Gouging
- Oxy Cutting, gouging
- Elevated work platform license, working at heights and dogging are highly regarded
