Branch Manager
About the role
Our Whyalla branch is looking for a Branch Manager to lead operations and work closely with Area Managers and the broader SA team.
As the Branch Manager you will showcase your Sales and Operations leadership skills to nurture sales performance, safety and operational efficiencies across an established and diverse customer base.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Managing and coordinating the logistics, administration and customer service of this branch
- Lead a small team and manage daily operations in the Branch.
- Managing and coordinating truck drivers, operators, yard men etc. on a day-to-day basis
- Contributing to ongoing process improvements
- Communicating regularly with both ferrous and non-ferrous customers
- Ensuring the operation of the yard is working in adherence with site safety policies and procedures
- Industry experience in sales and operations environment of a related manufacturing, distribution or warehousing establishment is preferred but not essential
- Passionate to achieve high customer outcomes
- Proven track record driving effective sales and operational processes
- Proven experience monitoring and managing costs against targets
About you:
- Goal-oriented, with a real desire to achieve results
- Having a demonstrated ability and experience in a leadership position, preferably in the recycling or scarp yard or waste management industry
- Strong experience in supervision or operational management or people/team management
- Comfortable working without direct day to day supervision with the support of Management and Head Office
