Mechanical Fitter

About the role

 

We are looking for a driven Maintenance Fitter who can work autonomously and, collaboratively with our close knit and supportive team based in our Wallsend site. Work friendly hours from 6am to 2:30pm, Mondays – Fridays. Occasional OT opportunities available.

 

  • Execute reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs

  • Regulatory maintenance of equipment and contractor management

  • Troubleshooting and fault-finding tasks

  • Inspections and action plans to improve reoccurring faults

  • Perform key duties with high regard to safety

About your experience

 

You will be a Maintenance Fitter who values safety, efficiency, and teamwork. You are a driven, a good communicator, and has the initiative to be effective in this role.

 

In addition, to be successful in the role you will have the following

 

  • Fitter and Turner trade qualification

  • Experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance

  • Knowledge in Hydraulics and Pneumatics is highly desirable

  • Electrical knowledge would be highly regarded
