Master Production Planner
About the role

Reporting to the Manufacturing Planning & Scheduling Lead and based at our Mayfield site, you will play a key role in balancing customer demand, production requirements and inventory targets across our Newcastle Rod Mill and Contistretch operations. Working closely with operations, maintenance, sales and supply stakeholders, you'll develop production schedules, solve planning challenges and help ensure our customers receive the right product at the right time.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to support customer demand, operational efficiency and inventory targets
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to align production plans with capacity and maintenance requirements
- Liaise with internal suppliers, sales teams and production stakeholders to ensure materials and resources are available when needed
- Monitor schedule performance, identify risks or constraints and implement solutions to minimise disruption
- Analyse production, inventory and demand data to support informed planning decisions
- Communicate schedule updates and supply impacts to stakeholders across the business
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes and systems

What you will bring:
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret information, identify issues and develop practical solutions
- Experience in planning, scheduling, supply chain, logistics, operations or a related analytical role
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Analytics or a related discipline (preferred)
