Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

Lead our Maintenance team of 10 on our newly built Reinforcing Mesh Australian Manufacturing facility as the Maintenance Supervisor. The site has brand new world leading best in class machinery. The outlook for the role is primarily operational and internal and contributing to the implementation of maintenance program.  The role also needs to interact strongly with operations and the procurement team on the local deployment of maintenance programs as well as operational excellence methodologies and a safe working environment. 


Key focus of the role:

 

  • Implementing and supervising cyclical maintenance programs and tasks
  • Providing a timely response to reactive maintenance requests and effecting repairs in a timely manner to facilitate continuity of operations
  • Supporting and implementing preventative maintenance programs
  • Providing supervision of maintenance employees and modelling safety in the workplace
  • Communicate and drive implementation of WHSE initiatives, improvements and corrective actions for work area
  • Meet KPI’s set for delivery across site and implement systems and processes to facilitate achievement of these performance targets
  • Monitor the performance, competency and capability of people in agreed roles
  • Coach and mentor employees to build their capability
  • Record training completions for Maintenance operators and ensure that training plans are updated


You will be a proven people leader, apply sound people management practices and problem-solving techniques to build the capability of employees to meet current and future business needs.

 
You will have experience in the following;

 

  • A trade qualification, or relevant qualification in Production Manufacturing is highly desirable
  • At least 3 years experience Maintenance, Production Manufacturing or similar background
  • Experience in a frontline leadership role with demonstrated skills in leadership
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience applying a knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • Demonstrated commitment to Safety Leadership with experience implementing Safety Systems
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a busy environment
