About the role

Are you ready to kickstart an awesome career in the steel industry? We're looking for an apprentice to join us starting in February!

InfraBuild  has over 100 years of history in Newcastle, and this is your opportunity to start an apprenticeship in the Mechanical (Fitter) trade.  Our program combines hands-on experience with TAFE study, offering rotations through different departments to learn from industry experts.

It's challenging but rewarding, with a supportive team and experienced mentors to guide you. This is your chance to be part of our dynamic, evolving business and help shape the future.


About you
We're looking for motivated, hands-on problem solvers who are ready to dive in and make things happen. Initiative and commitment are key.

As an InfraBuild Apprentice, you will need to be:
 

  • At least 16 years old and have completed Year 10
  • Safety-focused and eager to learn with top-notch listening skills
  • A team player and mechanically minded with a process-oriented approach
  • Able to travel to and from the site daily for shifts and TAFE as needed

  • A little introduction about yourself and your future ambitions

  • Why you would be the perfect fit for this opportunity

 
Your resume should have information about:
 

  • Your highest education level along with copies of your last two years of school or TAFE results
  • List down any training/course certificates you have already or in the process of completing
  • A letter from your employer or authorized person where you've worked or done work experience
