Electrical Planner
About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance and Reliability Superintendent, you will improve the reliability and productivity of existing equipment by planning and scheduling a cost-effective maintenance service that meets the current and future needs of the business. This role is instrumental in the asset maintenance effort through effective management of all proactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance tasks.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning of jobs with labour resources, materials and services
- Develop and maintain work schedules
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and work quality
- Communicate effectively across various work groups
- Assist in strategy, reactive to proactive maintenance
Our ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling processes within heavy industry, as well as a collaborative, organised and adaptable nature to manage changing priorities.
You also have:
- Relevant Electrical qualification
- Experience in heavy industry, preferably continuous manufacturing operations
- Sound understanding of maintenance planning or supervision
- Contractor Management experience
- Solid organisation skills and ability to plan work and set schedules
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to work unsupervised, whilst liaising directly with key stakeholders
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities and support ideas with data and well-developed business cases
- Strong computer literacy, SAP and Excel skills advantageous
- Formal training in Six Sigma, RCA, ICAM or equivalent will be highly regarded
