Customer Service & Sales Specialist
About the role
An exciting opportunity for someone with experience in sales administration or customer service to join a market leader in the rural industry. This role is the hub between our sales teams on the road, despatch centres, and various depots across ANZ, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, becoming the first point of contact for inquiries and provide exceptional service via email and over the phone
- Communicating and collaborate with internal stakeholders including sales, warehouse, and despatch teams to manage inventory levels, transportation, and distribution across Australia, with a focus on rural areas
- Handle credit approvals, disputes, and reconciliation in alignment with company policies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for rural distributors, providing exceptional support and fostering long-term relationships
- Provide accurate quotes and address general customer queries, converting them into sales opportunities where possible
- Oversee the end-to-end process of order fulfilment, ensuring orders are processed accurately, timely, and in line with customer expectations
- Quickly address customer complaints, by utilising our quality management system, working closely with internal teams to ensure timely resolution and closure of issues
- Continuously looking at new ways of improving the customer experience and consistently improving the total value proposition
- Work closely with sales team members on the road, providing them with the information and resources needed to succeed
We are looking for a team player who is able to manage competing priorities. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. Ideal skills and experience include:
- Previous experience in sales administration, customer service or logistics
- Ability to build relationships with existing customers and resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- Detail-oriented and committed, prioritizing accuracy and efficiency in every task
- Experience working in a wholesale, logistics, and the distribution of physical goods is a strong advantage
- Sound knowledge of agricultural and rural products highly regarded
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRMs highly regarded
- Experience in a SAP ERP is desirable
