Business Development Manager - Duragal Flooring System

Reporting to the Head of Sales - Steelforce, you will take ownership of the commercial growth, market positioning, and long-term success of a structural steel flooring solution experiencing strong growth across the Australian construction market.

 

This is a highly visible role that combines strategic leadership with hands-on market engagement. You will work closely with builders, specifiers, engineers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to grow product adoption.

 

Ideally this role will be based out of Newcastle, however for the right candidate we will consider Sydney-based applicants.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Drive sales growth and demand generation through direct engagement with builders, developers, engineers, specifiers, steel distributors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead the estimating and quotation function, ensuring timely responses, competitive pricing, and strong quote conversion outcomes.
  • Develop and execute sales and promotional strategies to strengthen market awareness and increase product adoption.
  • Coordinate technical support activities, including engineering resources, certifications, installation guidance, and technical documentation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry associations, suppliers, and key market influencers to enhance brand presence and market intelligence.

What you will bring:

  • Proven success in a sales, product management or business development role within the building, construction, or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of value-based solution selling, and the ability to position solutions beyond price alone.
  • Experience building relationships with builders, contractors, engineers, architects, specifiers, or other construction industry stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders across multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Trade, construction, engineering, or related qualifications will be highly regarded.
