Boilermaker

About the Role

Join our team as a Boilermaker based out of the Rod Mill in Mayfield. This role offers permanent and stable employment on a Day shift roster working on a wide variety of tasks. Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring availability and reliability for the Rod Mills operations.


Duties include;

  • Fabrication and repair of structural components of the Mill
  • Conducting routine maintenance and inspections
  • Executing planned, preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Providing feedback via the maintenance management system
  • Participation in regular shutdown tasks as an individual or working with other members of the team
  • Liaison with other the other trades in the workshop
  • Completion all tasks safely and to a high quality.



You will be a Boilermaker who values safety, efficiency, teamwork and has experience within Heavy Industry environments. We would love to hear from energetic and reliable candidates who can demonstrate the following: 

To be successful in this role, you will;

  • Trade Qualification - Boilermaker / Fabrication
  • Preventative maintenance, breakdown and shutdown experience desirable
  • Proven ability to fabricate and weld to test standards (MIG, TIG and Stick)
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Computer literate and previous with SAP would be advantageous
  • Have a proactive approach, whilst holding safety and customer as core values
  • Confident communicator who can work unsupervised
  • Confined Space, EWP and other safety qualifications will be highly regarded
