Asset Reliability Improvement Manager

About the role

The Reliability Improvement Manager role is responsible for improving the asset reliability outcomes in InfraBuild Manufacturing over time. It provides stewardship for reliability practices across Manufacturing, by supporting, coaching, and developing our maintenance teams. This role can be based out of Newcastle, Sydney or Laverton

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Manufacturing segment by functioning as a Subject Matter Expert to advance effective and professional maintenance practices
  • Enable the success of Asset/Maintenance Superintendents
  • Champion safe maintenance methods and equipment standards
  • Lead asset health mapping, reporting and spend strategies while balancing risk and resources, towards maximum returns-on-investment and year-on-year improvement in equipment condition
  • Lead Best Practice exchanges across maintenance teams on multiple sites
  • Coach for optimal use of software and systems to support reliability outcomes

About your experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive knowledge of maintenance techniques in a heavy industry setting, including a demonstrated record of achieving results by leading a large maintenance team in a similar heavy manufacturing environment
  • Experienced in the best use of SAP for Plant Maintenance
  • Strong business acumen complimented by problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with peers through support and alignment of objectives
  • Passionate about coaching, people development, and building capability in others
  • Sound communication skills – capability to sell an idea, champion for change

InfraBuild’s Steel Manufacturing business unit operates world-class state-of-the-art Steelmaking facilities in Sydney, Newcastle & Melbourne. Operating two electric arc furnaces and four rod and bar rolling mills we use local materials to produce high quality steel products. We supply a range of products to steel distributors nationally, whilst building on our proud traditions of technical excellence and team safety.
