Operations Supervisor
About the role

Reporting to the Branch Manager and based at our Milperra site, you will play a critical part in overseeing the safety and efficiency in relation to reinforcing bar production and mesh distribution. Your primary focus will revolve around people management, safety enforcement and optimising operations.
What you will be doing:
- Leading and empowering the team by fostering a culture of safety and collaboration
- Run daily startup meetings and toolbox talks, providing clear direction and ongoing communication to support a high-performing site
- Ensuring all WHS management system requirements and compliance objectives are met and safety standards are maintained
- Meet production and output KPIs through effective planning to ensure targets are consistently met
- Collaborating with key internal stakeholders and departments and address any operational challenges
- Identifying and reporting on opportunities for improvement initiatives
- Allocating appropriate manning and ensuring employees are trained, fit, qualified and competent to effectively run operations
This is a full-time permanent position with typical work hours being 7am - 3pm.

What you will bring:
- Strong time management, organisation and communication skills
- Proven experience supervising or managing a team in manufacturing or relevant industries
- High-level problem-solving, conflict resolution and people management skills
- Proficiency in using computer systems including Microsoft Suite
- Solid understanding of safety management systems and a genuine commitment to lead by example and foster a strong safety-first culture
