Project Manager
About The Role
InfraBuild Manufacturing are seeking an experience and self-disciplined Project Manager to join the team in Newcastle. You’ll play a pivotal role in maximising business outcomes through professional project management, delivery, and technical excellence. You’ll lead the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of industrial projects — ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors, you’ll be the key technical and coordination interface — driving performance, innovation, and value across every stage of the project lifecycle.
This is a hands-on, leadership-focused role where you’ll have the opportunity to influence major projects, drive best practice, and contribute to the ongoing success and growth of the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, coordinating and managing all aspects of assigned projects — from proposal through to commissioning.
- Ensuring client objectives are clearly defined and consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Maintaining a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitoring and controlling project costs and schedules, with a focus on delivering under budget and ahead of time.
- Reporting on project status, forecasts and progress to key stakeholders.
- Managing scope, risks, procurement and subcontractor relationships to ensure seamless delivery.
- Supporting continuous improvement by identifying and implementing innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
- Mentoring and supporting team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
You’re a proactive, technically strong professional with a passion for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes. You enjoy working across multiple disciplines, building strong relationships, and challenging traditional approaches to achieve better results.
To be successful, you’ll bring:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
- Ideally a minimum of 15 years’ experience managing industrial or manufacturing projects.
- Demonstrated commitment to HSE excellence in a project environment.
- Proven success in managing multi-discipline engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing scope, cost, schedule, and risk.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills — with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- High customer focus and commitment to delivering value and service excellence.
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Project, and the MS Office Suite
You’ll be motivated by the opportunity to take ownership of complex projects, mentor others, and continuously look for ways to improve processes, performance, and outcomes across the business.
