Operations Supervisor

Reporting to the Operations Manager and based at our Mayfield campus, you will lead day shift operations, ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective production of reinforcing steel products. You will be responsible for delivering production, quality and DIFOT outcomes while leading a large manufacturing team, driving a strong safety culture and ensuring employees are set up for success through effective workforce planning, training and performance management.
What you will be doing:
- Lead and coordinate day shift production activities to achieve safety, quality, productivity and customer service targets.
- Drive a proactive safety culture through visible leadership, audits, housekeeping standards and compliance with site procedures.
- Manage workforce planning, leave, training, development and performance to optimise team capability and engagement.
- Monitor production performance, inventory and scrap levels to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.
- Partner with maintenance, planning and despatch teams to ensure customer requirements are delivered on time and in full.
- Maintain accurate production, payroll and training records using business systems including SAP.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and reliability.

What you will bring:
- Experience supervising production teams within a safety-focused manufacturing, logistics or industrial environment.
- Proven people leadership experience, including workforce planning, performance management, coaching and employee development.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver operational outcomes.
- Track record of meeting customer service expectations through effective production planning and execution.
- Hands-on leadership style, high level of accountability and confidence working across shop floor and administrative responsibilities.
