Reporting to the Newcastle Site Services Manager and based at our Newcastle Wire Mill in Mayfield, the Industrial Facilities Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable and cost-effective management of key assets such as buildings, roads, rail infrastructure, cranes and utilities.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Manage a team of planners, schedulers and trades personnel to deliver preventative, corrective and improvement works safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee contractor and vendor performance across services including cleaning, waste management, grounds maintenance, rail infrastructure and other site services.
  • Develop, manage and monitor maintenance and facilities budgets, ensuring expenditure is controlled and aligned to business objectives.
  • Review maintenance requests, prioritise work activities and ensure resources are effectively allocated to meet operational requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, including contractor management.
  • Build strong relationships with internal customers, site tenants and service providers, responding proactively to issues.

What you will bring:

  • Experience within a heavy industrial, manufacturing, mining or related environment (trade qualifications highly regarded).
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach with the confidence to address issues, drive accountability and influence outcomes.
  • Experience or transferable skills in coordinating contractors, service providers and maintenance activities across a complex operational site.
  • Experience or transferable skills in managing budgets, processing invoices and monitoring contractor spend and performance.
  • SAP or CMMS experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
  • Knowledge of rail infrastructure, cranes or industrial facilities management would be advantageous but is not essential.
