Credit / AR Officer

About the role

As our new Credit Officer, you will be the primary communication to the customer in respect of cash collection and credit issues. You will ensure key relationships are maintained whilst maximising cashflow.
 

Key responsibilities:
 

  • Own credit issues and develop action plans to resolve any credit issues
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure payments are made in line with agreed payment terms
  • Ensure high level of accuracy with allocating customer payments
  • Ensure proper collection limits are in place for overdue debts.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate will have exceptional accounts receivable skills and experience with the allocation of remittances.

 

You also have:
 

  • A qualification within commerce or accounting

  • Experience in debt collection and dealing with overdue amounts

  • Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLookups

  • Experience using SAP would be a strong advantage

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.
